VOV
VOV is rebuilding their website. Currently they are using Learning-Square as a community/knowledge platform but as it’s a bit outdated so they want to start something new in combination with the website. I’m advising them in the choice of technology, functionalities and possible selection of a web partner.

EOI

ROLE
Together with 16 internationally renowned research groups and companies we started to discuss the meaning of a ‘PLE’. How would a Personal Learning Environment look like and what tool/functions should it contain. I had a very interesting 2009 together with all these people discussing Learning in a Open environment.  Building the responsive, open and user driven learning environment that’s the goal of ROLE.

EducGame @ The Politie Academie in The Netherlands
When we talk about EduGames this is an EduGame that was well received both by the players and the management. We started rebuilding the administration part of the game in 2009 and if f I’m not mistaken they are already building their 27th game with this engine. You can watch a video here

Outstart Evolution LCSM/LMS
In 2008 we did the implementation of the Outstart Evolution Learning Content Management System (LCMS) at Katoennatie. Katoennatie wanted to train all the interim people on safety regulations and Katoennatie specific applications. We trained Katoennatie in the use of the LCMS and advised them on how to create great courses.

Kallidus LMS
At DEME – Dredging we installed Kallidus LMS. DEME will use the system to train their people in the art of land reclamation before going abroad.

Learning-Service
In 2001 we started building the first online course for the Belgian unemployment agency VDAB. Together we build the first Belgian Learning Management System called Learning-Service. The VDAB still uses Learning-Service to develop courseware and import these courses in to their own Learning Management System on http://www.webleren.be

We implemented Learning-Service at Portima. They use the system to train their employees and partners when releasing new software applications or updates of it. It was at Portima that we introduced the term “Xtreme coaching”.  Xtreme coaching is a tool that was motivating learners to complete the course and guided them in passing the tests.

We implement Learning-Service at DHL Avation Belgium where we trained all DHL Aviation employees in the use of new software. It was that time that we build the AD synchronization and the “Xtreme help” function. Xtreme help is tool that allowed DHL Aviation to link the help function of any application with Learning-Service. When employees were using an particular application and clicking the help function they were redirected to the related page of the course on Learning-Service. This without the need of login in again and still keeps tracking the users behavior.

Randstad Belgium was the last implementation Learning-Service we did. Hosted at Telindus and used by all Randstad employees for the last 4 years. A small customization was made that would allow Randstad to import the users tracking into their own HR system. As the Learning-Service was hosted outside the Randstad network we FTP and XML to get the necessary date to the Randstad office.
