This morning Cortana, my personal productivity assistant, was so nice to remind me that I could book some learning time this week.

In my life long learner enthusiasm I was a bit disappointed that all Cortana did was blocking 2 hours learning time in my agenda? I was expecting to also receive some recommendations of courses I could take, no not should take, could take. But unfortunately this wasn’t the case.

And now I’m wondering if this will change in the future? The future when we have MS Viva (learning) and the LinkedIN Learning Hub fully integrated with MS Teams and O365. If Cortana has access to the data this could or should be the case right? I know, what about Privacy? Should I give a bit of my Privacy away? In this case and speaking for myself thats yes. I would like to know what data will be used and what type of recommendations will be presented. Will the recommendations match the proposed time slot(s). If I only have 2 hours will I see a 4h course? Based on what I did the previous week on O365, MS Teams, LiL or others? Who knows, time will tell (I guess, I hope).
